A reader called Laura is still raging after falling foul of the law for wearing flip-flops.
She drove into the back of a car at a roundabout and the police turned up on the scene.
In the officers’ statement it noted she was driving in flip-flops. Two weeks later Laura, who lives in Dorset, got a court summons for careless driving, due to her shoes.
Another reader, Harriet, from Leicester, had a similar experience, this time for wearing high heels.
And while it is not illegal to drive in flip-flops or heels, if they impair your driving ability they can become key evidence in a reckless or dangerous driving charge.
